RESONANCE is the Wichita Burner’s annual four day camping event that up holds the ideals of the Burning Man Festival and other regional burns throughout the world. The goal of Resonance is to unite the scattered Burners and potential Burners of Kansas and the Midwest in this celebration of Art, Fire, and Life – further spreading the unique Burner experience throughout the region.
Like Burning Man, we will build a temporary city-community of tents, domes, light, dance, fire and music in the wilderness (in this case the plains, not the desert). We will celebrate our diversity continuously from Thursday through Sunday morning. Then we will dismantle our city and Leave No Trace.
Resonance is held on secluded Private property, located in the Flint Hills near Sedan Kansas less than a two hour drive from Wichita. We will occupy a beautiful semi-established dispersed style Campground. There is no running water on sight so make sure you bring extra for washing and cooking. The site does have 16+ portable restrooms on site, horseshoe pits, a large pond with a doc, Phone charging stations and two pallet showers that may be reserved for emergency use.
